Description
The Heat & Glo SL-9X is a 42-inch direct-vent gas fireplace designed to combine an expansive viewing area with a slim, space-saving construction. Its Tranquil Greige ceramic brick refractory gives the firebox a warm, neutral appearance inspired by traditional masonry. Five high-definition ceramic logs, ceramic viewing glass, and LED-illuminated embers create an inviting fireside presentation that complements traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors. The shallow appliance profile allows greater flexibility for installations where preserving usable room depth is important.
Designed for Natural Gas, the SL-9X delivers a heat input range of 18,000–35,000 BTU per hour. Its IntelliFire Touch ignition system and RC400 touchscreen remote provide convenient operating control, while the GFK-160A variable-speed blower helps circulate warm air throughout the room. Battery backup offers additional operating flexibility during power interruptions. The appliance also includes a gas flex connector with shut-off valve, junction box, and approved top- or rear-vent connection options.
The SL-9X-IFT-TG is the Tranquil Greige configuration of the SlimLine 9X series. A compatible decorative front is required to complete the installation but is sold separately, allowing the exterior appearance to be customized. Black Firescreen, Halston, Arcadia, Chateau Forge, and Clean Face ClearVue front options are available for the series, subject to model compatibility. Professional installation must follow the manufacturer’s current framing, venting, gas-connection, and clearance requirements.
