Description
The Heat & Glo SL-5X is a 32-inch direct-vent gas fireplace designed to provide the appearance and comfort of a traditional fire while conserving valuable living space. Its Stratford ceramic brick refractory gives the firebox a classic masonry-inspired finish that complements traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors. Five high-definition ceramic logs, ceramic viewing glass, and LED-illuminated embers create an inviting fireside presentation with realistic-looking flames and glowing embers.
Designed for Natural Gas, the SL-5X delivers a heat input range of 14,500–27,500 BTU per hour. IntelliFire Touch ignition and the RC400 touchscreen remote provide convenient control of the fireplace, while the GFK-160A variable-speed blower helps distribute warm air throughout the room. Battery backup provides additional operating flexibility during power interruptions. The appliance also includes a gas flex connector with shut-off valve, a junction box, external air-shutter adjustment, and connections for approved top- or rear-vent installations.
The SL-5X-IFT-S is the Stratford refractory configuration within the SlimLine 5X series. Its compact depth makes it suitable for residential projects where installation space is limited. A compatible decorative front must be purchased separately to complete the installation, with options including Arcadia, Chateau Forge, Clean Face, Firescreen, and Halston styles, subject to model compatibility. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s current framing, clearance, venting, and gas-connection requirements.
