Description
The Heat & Glo SL-9X is a 42-inch direct-vent gas fireplace designed to combine a generous viewing area with a slim appliance profile. Its Stratford ceramic brick refractory creates a classic brick-firebox appearance that complements traditional, transitional, and contemporary residential interiors. Five high-definition ceramic logs and LED-illuminated embers contribute to a realistic fireside presentation, while ceramic viewing glass provides a clear view of the flames.
Designed for Natural Gas, the fireplace delivers a heat input range of 18,000–35,000 BTU per hour. The IntelliFire Touch ignition system and RC400 touchscreen remote provide convenient operating control. A GFK-160A variable-speed blower helps circulate warm air, and battery backup provides additional operating flexibility during power interruptions. The appliance also includes a gas flex connector with shut-off valve, junction box, and top- and rear-vent connection options.
The SL-9X-IFT-S is the Stratford refractory version of the SlimLine 9X series. A compatible decorative front must be purchased separately to complete the installation. Available front styles include Arcadia, Chateau Forge, Clean Face, Firescreen, and Halston, subject to model compatibility. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s current framing, clearance, venting, and gas-connection instructions.
