The Heat & Glo SL-5X is a 32-inch direct-vent gas fireplace designed to combine traditional fireside appeal with a slim, space-saving construction. Its Tranquil Greige ceramic brick refractory introduces a soft, neutral tone and a classic brick-inspired texture to the firebox, complementing a wide range of traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors. Five high-definition ceramic logs, ceramic viewing glass, and LED-illuminated embers create an inviting visual presentation with realistic-looking flames and a glowing ember bed.

Designed for Natural Gas, the SL-5X delivers a heat input range of 14,500–27,500 BTU per hour. IntelliFire Touch ignition and the RC400 touchscreen remote provide convenient control of fireplace operation, while the GFK-160A variable-speed blower helps circulate warm air throughout the room. Battery backup offers additional operating flexibility during power interruptions. The appliance also includes a gas flex connector with shut-off valve, a junction box, and external air-shutter adjustment. Its top- or rear-vent configuration allows installation flexibility when designed according to the manufacturer’s approved requirements.

The SL-5X-IFT-TG is the Tranquil Greige interior configuration of the SlimLine 5X series. Its approximately 16-inch depth makes it suitable for residential projects where preserving usable floor space is important. A compatible decorative front must be purchased separately to complete the installation.
