The Heat & Glo SL-5X is a 32-inch direct-vent gas fireplace designed to provide realistic flames and comfortable warmth while preserving valuable interior space. This configuration features reflective black glass refractory, creating a sleek, dark firebox that enhances the visual depth and contrast of the flames. Five high-definition ceramic logs, LED-illuminated embers, and a glowing ember bed contribute to a convincing fireside appearance that complements contemporary, transitional, and modern residential interiors.
Powered by Natural Gas, the fireplace delivers a heat input range of 14,500–27,500 BTU per hour. IntelliFire Touch ignition and the RC400 touchscreen remote provide convenient operating control, while the GFK-160A variable-speed blower helps circulate warm air throughout the room. Battery backup provides additional operating flexibility during power interruptions. Its 16-1/4-inch depth and top- or rear-vent compatibility offer installation flexibility, subject to the manufacturer’s framing, clearance, and venting requirements.
The SL-5X-IFT-G is the Natural Gas version with reflective black glass refractory. A compatible decorative front is required to complete the installation but is sold separately. Buyers should select the appropriate front finish and approved venting components for their installation. The manufacturer’s documentation should be followed for clearances, gas connections, ignition setup, and professional installation.
