Heat & Glo MEZZO 72 Inch Natural Gas Fireplace With IntelliFire Touch Ignition – Black (MEZZO72-C)

The Heat & Glo MEZZO 72 is a large-format linear direct-vent gas fireplace designed to create a dramatic architectural focal point in contemporary residential interiors. Its expansive 72-inch horizontal flame presentation is complemented by reflective black glass refractory, which creates a dark, reflective firebox and enhances the visual depth of the flames. Clear, dimmable LED accent lighting highlights the firebed and can provide decorative ambiance even when the fireplace is not operating. With an appliance depth of only 17-1/8 inches, the MEZZO 72 offers a space-conscious design for feature walls, spacious living rooms, and entertainment areas.

Designed for Natural Gas, the MEZZO72-C delivers a rated heat input range of 30,000–58,000 BTU per hour. Its IntelliFire Touch electronic ignition system and included RC400 touchscreen remote provide convenient operation, including flame-height and lighting adjustments. Standard equipment includes reflective black glass refractory, ceramic viewing glass, clear dimmable LED lighting, battery backup, a gas flex connector, and a junction box. Optional Heat-Zone, Heat-Out, and Passive Heat systems offer additional heat-management possibilities when installed with compatible accessories.

The MEZZO72-C requires a compatible decorative front and crushed-glass firebed media to complete the installation. The 72-inch model supports Clean Face Trim fronts in Black, Gun Metal, New Bronze, and Stainless Steel finishes. Optional firebed media include Crystal, Ebony, Scarlet, Amber, Iced Fog, and Cobalt Blue glass. Natural or Driftwood log sets and River Rock stones can also be added in approved configurations. When Driftwood logs and River Rock stones are installed together, only one stone set may be used; when River Rock stones are installed without logs, up to two sets may be used. The manufacturer requires at least 30 inches of vertical venting before an elbow is attached to the appliance.
