Heat & Glo Provident 30 Inch Natural Gas Insert With IPI Ignition System – Black (PROV-I30-IPI)

The Heat & Glo Provident 30-Inch Natural Gas Fireplace Insert provides a practical way to restore the appearance and functionality of an existing wood-burning fireplace. Its traditional log presentation, glowing embers and black firescreen create a familiar fireside atmosphere, while the compact insert design helps reduce the heat loss associated with an unused, open fireplace. Intended for approved masonry or factory-built fireplace installations, the Provident is suited to living rooms, family rooms and other residential spaces where supplemental warmth and a traditional flame appearance are desired.

The PROV-I30-IPI uses Heat & Glo’s IntelliFire intermittent-pilot ignition system. The natural gas burner has a rated input range of 21,000–30,000 BTU per hour, with an approved propane configuration available using the appropriate conversion kit. Ceramic viewing glass encloses the combustion area, while four ceramic-fiber logs, glowing embers and lava rock establish the traditional fire presentation. Direct-vent technology routes combustion exhaust outdoors through an approved chimney-liner system.

Several finishing options allow the Provident to complement the existing fireplace surround. The standard firescreen design is available in black, gun metal and new bronze, while an Inside Fit front is available for installations requiring a different surround arrangement. Optional Stratford refractory panels, reflective black-glass liners, a 160 CFM fan and SmartRemote controls can further customize the installation. The decorative front and surround are sold separately and are required to complete the installation. Optional vent-liner kits and any selected controls or fan must be confirmed against the installation requirements of the existing fireplace.
