The Heat & Glo Cosmo 36 is a contemporary linear direct-vent gas fireplace designed to provide a clean architectural appearance in modern residential interiors. Its 36-inch landscape format, continuous ribbon flame, and standard black glass media create a sleek firebed that complements contemporary living rooms, entertainment areas, and open-plan spaces. With an appliance depth of just 17-3/4 inches, it offers installation flexibility where conserving room space is important. The Cosmo series also supports a range of optional decorative fronts, log sets, interior panels, and firebed materials.

Designed for Natural Gas, the COSMO36-IFT-B delivers a heat input range of 14,500–20,500 BTU per hour. IntelliFire Touch electronic ignition provides convenient fireplace operation, and the integrated battery backup offers additional operating flexibility during power interruptions. Standard equipment includes black glass media, tempered viewing glass, a gas flex connector, a junction box, a manual gas shut-off valve, and a 4-inch × 6-5/8-inch top vent collar. The manufacturer identifies the Cosmo 36 as a direct-vent fireplace intended for supplemental room heating and decorative use rather than as a primary residential heating source.

The fireplace can be customized with a compatible Clean Face trim or Martini front in an available finish. Additional options include fade-resistant reflective black glass interior panels, traditional or Driftwood log sets, decorative glass beads, River Rock stones, LED accent lighting, a fan kit, and heat-management systems. The decorative front is required but must be purchased separately. If LED lighting or a fan is added, the manufacturer requires a compatible IFT-RC400 remote control; the optional fan cannot be used with the Passive Heat kit. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s framing, clearance, venting, and gas-connection instructions.
