The Heat & Glo Escape 35 Inch FireBrick Direct Vent Natural Gas Fireplace Insert transforms an existing wood-burning fireplace into a convenient gas-heating centerpiece. Combining traditional log styling with modern fireplace technology, this insert features a patented FireBrick interior designed to improve radiant heat delivery. Its large viewing area, illuminated ember bed, and realistic ceramic fiber logs create an inviting flame presentation for living rooms, family rooms, and other indoor spaces.
The ESCAPE-35-IFT delivers a natural gas input rating ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 BTU per hour. Its IntelliFire Touch ignition system provides convenient electronic operation through the included RC400 touchscreen remote control. Anti-reflective ceramic glass and the ClearVue screen help minimize glare for a clearer view of the fire, while the dual variable-speed convection fan circulates heated air into the room. A battery backup provides additional ignition support during qualifying power interruptions.
Designed for installation in a compatible existing fireplace, the Escape 35 requires appropriate venting and a compatible decorative barrier front and surround to complete the installation. These finishing components are sold separately and are available in different styles and finishes to complement the surrounding interior. The appliance is intended for supplemental heating or decorative use rather than as a primary heat source.
