Description
The Heat & Glo 8KMOD is the larger 42-inch model in the modern 6K/8K family. It is a natural gas, single-sided direct vent fireplace rated from 18,000 to 36,000 BTU/hr input, and it vents through the top with DVP pipe.
It uses anti-reflective ceramic glass and a 2-sided reflective and matte black glass liner, with IntelliFire Touch ignition and wall switch wiring included. The wider viewing area (41-1/4″ × 26-11/16″) suits larger walls. Like the 6KMOD, it ships without a log or media set, so glass media, a stone kit or the driftwood log set must be added. A decorative barrier front is required and sold separately.
Heat management options (Passive Heat, Heat-Zone, Heat-Out) and a 160 CFM fan kit are available as separate purchases. The unit is natural gas only and is not convertible to propane.
