Description
The Continental CRD3 is a 29-inch-class direct-vent natural gas insert designed to retrofit an existing masonry fireplace or compatible prefabricated opening. Its design uses the existing chimney structure and provides a modern gas-heating solution while retaining the appearance of a traditional fireplace.
The CRD3N natural gas model is rated at 25,000 BTU input and features an expansive viewing area, a realistic Split Oak log set, ceramic glass, and a standard safety screen. The unit uses Millivolt 7-Day ignition and is designed to operate during a power outage.
The fireplace includes a CF60 remote control. A standard blower is optional, and Continental also lists a future hybrid gas/electric blower option. Mandatory backerplates and faceplates are available in several black configurations, while MIRRO-FLAME™, Westminster™, and Newport™ decorative panels can be added for different interior appearances.Â
